Coffee... What else?
Rollei Rollei
It was all a fluke, I tell you. I always wanted a TLR, a Rolleiflex, to be exact. But they are expensive, especially the ones in good condition. And I’m not really the kind to spend a large sum of money on e-bay without even touching the actual product. So there I was, summer 2009, in one of the second hand camera stores in Tokyo, looking for a bargain. And I found one! at least i thought i did. A beautiful Ricoh TLR, super compact! yes i thought it was small but hey, the Japanese are good at making small things.. I bought the camera on the spot with a few rolls of 120 film. It was until I came home, I realized this camera, the Ricoh Super 44, takes on only 127 films. You know, the kind used by those lovely Kodak Brownies in the ‘prehistoric times’ (for many, the age before the internet is labeled as such). Anyway. The film format didn’t deter me. Not too long after i got the camera, Rollei started producing 127 film again. Thank goodness the developer tank takes 127 film. But the flatbed scanner doesn’t have a holder for it. So what do you do?.. you improvise. A good way to spend Easter Monday :)))
